Overview
The highest scorer each round loses a pin from their set. Bowl too well and your game gets harder. Highest total score at the end wins.

How It Works
Single shot per frame. Everyone starts with a full set of pins. After each round, the highest scorer has a random pin permanently removed from their setup. Ties mean everyone tied loses a pin. As the game progresses, top players bowl with fewer and fewer pins while underdogs keep their full rack. The player with the highest total score at the end wins.
What Makes It Different
Tall Poppies is self-balancing. The better you bowl, the harder it gets. Beginners stay competitive because they keep their full pin set, while experienced players face increasingly difficult configurations. The game naturally closes the gap without anyone having to hold back.
Who It’s For
Mixed-skill groups where you want the game itself to keep things close. Families, parties, and competitive friends who enjoy a bit of chaos. Strong players can never relax and underdogs are always one round away from a comeback.
Parent’s Guide
Let the kids go first and watch their scores. Then aim to knock down just one more pin than they did. You will win the round but only by a small margin, keeping your total score low. The game will start stripping your pins away while the kids keep their full rack. After a few rounds you will be bowling at five or six pins and genuinely struggling to score, while they are still throwing at a full set. No acting required.
